There are times when you need to change your password for Security reasons, or alternatively you may need to retrieve a lost password. This article describes the steps you need to take in various circumstances.
Changing your password
There are two types of user on the system - an admin user, who has the ability to log into the administration interface (i.e. can log in to the site via yoursite.com/admin) and 'email only' users (who can log into the site via http://mail.yoursite.com)
Changing the password for each of these users is slightly different -
Admin User
- Log into the site's Admin console
- Go to Home > My Details menu option to access the 'My Details' page
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page, where you will see the folowing -

- Enter your existing password in the first field
- Enter the new password that you would like to use twice (in order to confirm it)
- Click Save to save your changes
The next time you log into the Admin Console, you'll enter your new password in the login screen. Your current session in the Admin Console will not be interrupted (unless the system later logs you out due to inactivity).
Email Only user
- Log Into Webmail
- Select the Settings > General option


- Enter your existing password in the first field.
- Enter the new password that you would like to use twice (in order to confirm it)
- Click Save to save your changes
Retrieving a lost password
To retireve a lost password, you can use the 'lost password' link on the site administration login for both Admin and Email only users (as you will be sent an email allowing you to reset your password to both your site email address and the Alternate email address set up within your user account on the site (Admin > Manage Users)
To use this method, follow the steps below:
- Enter the URL to access the Admin Console in a browser's address bar. The URL you enter will use one of the following two formats, depending on whether the site is a trial site or a live site.
http://my_domain_name.com/admin (for a live site)
http://trial_account.worldsecuresystems.com/admin (for a trial site)
- The login screen appears. Click the Lost your password? link.

- The login screen updates with a new field to enter your email address. Enter either the email address of the user you are trying to reset (if you have access to this email address) or the alternate email address set when first creating this user. Click the Retrieve button to send the password to the email address.
- After clicking Retrieve, a green alert message appears stating that the instructions have been sent to this address.
- Check your email and follow the instructions provided in the email to reset the password for this user
- Once you have reset the password, enter the URL to access the Admin Console as described in Step 1.
- Use your new password to log in.
